HPAC MEN'S MINISTRY

Our Mission: To empower men to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ by forming God-honouring and life-changing relationships.

Our Vision:  To become a movement of transformed men who leave a lasting spiritual legacy.

Overview:  The men's ministry at HPAC is a movement that includes a variety of strategic group gatherings. We want to reach out to churched and unchurched men in a meaningful way that will engage them and challenge them to become the men God wants them to be. Our strategy is to assimilate men through these different events with the hope of connecting them into small groups, discipling them, and mobilizing them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We want to help men transfer biblical truth into action by encouraging them to make and keep their promises to God, their families, friends, church, and community.

Band of Brothers: Seasonal Bible studies or discussion groups geared to issues men face each day.

Men's Summits: Participate in some "guy friendly" worship and hear how God is changing lives. We feature great teaching on what it means to be a man created in God's image and how we can live out our lives the way God intended guys to live. The Summits will have a "rally" atmosphere with cool music, awesome testimonies, provocative preaching, and lots of fun!

Prayer Times: We meet the first Wednesday morning of the month, at 6:00 AM for an hour of prayer.  Come when you can, leave when you must.

The Men's Network: We have a ministry of helps and encouragement for men! We have developed a network of men to help one another with projects, possibilities, or problems. The idea is to link the needs of individuals with the resources of the men in our church through e-mail. Men who are interested ask to have their e-mail address added to a controlled mailing list. When someone has a need or information they want to share with the group, they send an e-mail to the coordinator. The coordinator then screens the mail to determine if it is appropriate and then re-mail it to those on the list. Precautions are taken to protect your e-mail address from mass distribution.

Example postings that would be appropriate:

~ I am putting new shingles on my roof this weekend, and I could use some help from about 9-Noon on Saturday. Willing hands please respond to heintz@abcd.com.
~ Canadian Tire has four litres of Quaker State oil on sale this week (Nov 1-8) for $10 and you get a free filter with it.
~ I manage the Sharp Cuts barber shop at the Devonshire Mall, and we'll give you a wash and cut for $4.95 if you bring in an HPAC bulletin.
~ Can anyone recommend a mechanic who specializes in carburetors? Send your recommendation to carguy@123456.com.

You can ask to have your name added to the Network with an email to the Coordinator at mensnetworkministry@sympatico.ca.
