CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Fall is almost here and we are still in need of workers for our Children’s Ministries Sunday Morning Program: 11AM age 3 assistant, 11AM JK/SK teacher, and 11AM Grade 1 teacher. Volunteers are essential for running all of our children’s programs here at Heritage Park Alliance Church. If you feel led to serve in one of these opportunities, please email Debbie Weatherson ASAP at debbie@hpac.org.

If you volunteer for Kids Connection and/or Kids Club please plan to attend this important Fall Orientation Meeting Wednesday, September 8 in the Chapel. Class Lists, curriculum access and schedules will be provided at these meetings.

If you have not registered your child yet for our weekly Kids Club Program, please plan to do so. Note: Hot Meals nights have returned! First Hot Meals Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29 from 5PM to 6:15PM. Tickets for the Hot Foods Nights must be purchased in advance thru the CM Office.
SATURDAY NIGHT SERVICES BEGIN
We are restarting the Saturday Night service starting on September 11 at 6:02PM and we look forward to seeing our friends, old and new!

Jared Kovacs

Fall Internship
This September we are pleased to announce that Jared Kovacs will be joining our staff as an intern from Tyndale University/College in Toronto. Jared will be serving on staff from September 2010 to August 2011 with primary responsibilities in youth ministry. Internship is designed to give in-depth exposure to ministry in an area appropriate to a student’s career goals. It is also an opportunity for Jared to gain invaluable ministry experience and develop his skills allowing for other ministry staff and congregants to encourage and challenge him as he further discerns God’s calling on his life for vocational ministry. We are looking forward to having Jared with us for this next year and would invite you to make a point of welcoming him to our church family when you see him in September. If you would be willing to have Jared into your home for a meal at some point over the course of this next year please let our church office know, as we want Jared to be exposed to as much of our family here at Heritage Park over the time that he is with us.
THANKSGIVING DINNER AT HERITAGE PARK
Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings on Friday, October 8, starts at 6:30PM in the Center. Cost: Adult-$15.00, children 5 to 10yrs- $5.00, 5yrs and under come for free. Special presentation highlighting the past 25 years at Heritage Park Alliance; greetings from Pastor Garth and guest musician, Eduard Klassen a Paraguayan Harpist. Tickets will be available at the Welcome Center Sunday, August 29 through Sunday, September 26.
EARLY REGISTRATON FOR THE MARRIAGE SEMINAR
Last week the Men’s Ministry of Heritage Park offered an early-bird discount to the first 25 couples/individuals who register for the Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar scheduled for October 21-22 at Parkwood Gospel Temple. There are only a few spots left. The next few who pay, by cash or check, for their registration at our Welcome Centre or through the church office will pay $20 less than the required amount.
PLAN TO PROTECT COURSE NOW OFFERED ONLINE
If you work or volunteer in Children’s Ministries, MOPS or Youth Ministries you are required to take Plan to Protect training on a yearly basis. Starting September 1, 2010 HPAC will be offering Plan to Protect Online. Pastor Ray Jones or Debbie Weatherson will be contacting those who need to take this training.
